Rik's 25 year consulting career has cast a wide net including performance consulting, educational leadership development, and executive coaching. Rik's expertise has allowed him to work with diverse clientele, ranging from natural resource and heavy industries such as oil and gas, chemicals, logging, and mining, to the high tech and insurance industries.
As a performance consultant, Rik specializes in supporting clients and their teams to produce unprecedented, unexpected business breakthroughs, while also supporting them to increase job satisfaction and team engagement. He ensures clients develop sustainable and actionable access to significantly elevated leadership and management skills.
Rik has designed and delivered many educational leadership development and time management programs throughout his consulting career, each customized to the client's objectives. He works with clients to introduce new and effective management and leadership methods that support leaders and their teams to achieve specific, highly ambitious results in high-stake projects.
As an Executive Coach, Rik has successfully supported CEO's and executives from companies ranging from Hewlett Packard, to The Hartford, to Owens Corning, to elevate their performance through enhanced skills in leadership, communication, and personnel management. Working with Rik, clients consistently and substantially increase their executive prowess, their impact within their companies, and their stature.
Clients benefit enormously from Rik's extensive background in business simply because he knows what it takes to fulfill large commitments in today's business world. Rik served as CEO of a holding company for a large international training and development company where he was recognized for his expertise in training and coaching managers in producing breakthrough results. Rik was also COO and Business Manager for a consulting firm and co-authored a system of proprietary management consulting technologies in the areas of breakthrough projects and breakthrough productivity, as well as corporate strategy implementation, reengineering implementation, and organizational change.
Rik earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School and a B.S. in Psychology from Haverford College. He and his wife have two grown children and live in San Rafael, California.
